Registry .MX releases the DNSSEC service for .MX domains

by | Dec 13, 2018

Now the .MX domains could increase their security features through the use of this service.

NIC México (Network Information Center Mexico), through its service unit Registry .MX is pleased to announce that the team of NIC Mexico have successfully completed the implementation of DNSSEC for .MX domains.

DNSSEC allows us to provide origin authentication and data integrity through an extension to the DNS protocol, which will be reflected in benefits by eliminating DNS vulnerabilities that can be exploited to commit fraud (Phishing) or cyber-attacks.

Our approach was to introduce DNSSEC with the greatest safety and security possible, performing all the necessary tests for the introduction of a new technology. Our IT team has used the most advanced available tools, and even developed our own, to ensure the proper signature of the .MX zone.

This implementation is the result of great teamwork, that allows us to reach another objective to strength the DNS infrastructure for .MX domains, fulfilling our ongoing commitment to continue offering new and better services.
